Okay if we went to the appointment on March 2nd, how long should we wait for the EAD approval?? :(

This process is just not clear to me any more. I thought if we got through the waiting and waiting, then the rest would be a little more smoother.

Can anyone give any advice/help?? Also, we have not been able to check case status online. Question regarding checking status??? What number do you use?? Do you continue to use the original petition number or do you use the new receipt number to check???

1/25/06 - AOS/EAD sent

1/26/06 - AOS/EAD received at USCIS

02/4/06 - NOA received for EAD

02/6/06 - NOA received for AOS

02/7/06 - ASC appt notice rcv'd

03/2/06 - Biometrics appt.

05/15/06 - AOS Approval (stamp in passport)

05/23/06 - Received Welcome letter

05/26/06 - Green Card arrived in mail yaaaahhooooo

08/10/06 - Hubby 1st job in US

05/15/08 - ??? what next

It really depends, and some people get them 1 week after biometrics, and some have to wait for 90 day limit. Looking at your timeline your 90 day limit is coming up, so you should get your EAD soon no matter what. Also for checking your status online you use the same MSC number that was on top of your original NOA. That does not change after biometrics.

July 12, 2006 - APPROVED!!!!

August 14, 2006 - Welcome to the US letter and I-130 approval received in the mail

August 15, 2006 - Permanent Resident Card received in the mail

I agree. Some people get them with in the week after Bio's cause there 90 days are almost up. Most people that have their Bio's done early in the 90 day frame, usually end up waiting longer for the card. Just because the 90 days are not up yet. You should receive it by the middle or end of April I would think. Thats when your 90 days will be up. Maybe you might get it earlier, some do.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I guess if the system would accept our MSC#, we could find out something. But I guess we are not alone in that area. Others from what I have read has not been able to check their status online either.

Claudeth did her biometrics for the EAD in the middle of October and was approved November 30th

Looks like you should be getting the EAD card soon. Like others said *when* you get the biometrics does not relate to how soon you get the card. I got mine 5 days after biometrics, but it took me over 100 days for the whole process.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail
