I think I may have got carried away with the idea that I will soon have my ead. I have my biometrics on Wed and hopefully will hear by the end of October that I have been approved. I applied for a job last week and didn't expect to hear so soon but I have an interview on Tuesday. Has anyone else been in this situation. I wandered if I should tell them at the interview or wait and see if I am offered the job I couls possibly negoiaite a start date. I need a job soon as I am pregnant and I will be showing I am sure by November time.

I think you'll have to tell them. They will have to validate your work status in order for you to start work - I'd hate for them to give you a start date and you not have your EAD card yet. What would you tell them? 'Oh, I forgot to mention one tiny thing...I'm not work authorized yet?'

Ok this is a bit confusing. Are you talking only about a job interview or the AOS interview as well.

You can't start working until you have your EAD anyway, I think it shouldn't take too long for you to get the approval for it. So go with your NOAs so you can show them what your status is, explain your situation and that as soon as you have your EAD you can start working for them.

Hopefully you will get your EAD approval soon.

I think I would tell the prospective employer at the interview that you are awaiting your EAD approval and would be able to start as soon as it is received.

Thanks for the advice. I thought I would explain my situation. I was talking about a job interview and the approval of my ead not my aos, sorry for the confusion.

It took about six weeks from Claudeth's biometrics before she received the EAD.
