Hello all,

Let's suppose I were to leave my job and be in between jobs at the time of our interview (which hopefully will be November sometime). My parents are willing to sign an additional support document. Can the embassy deny our suspend our K1 visa if I am not employed?

regards,

If you're personally confident of your financial ability, why not simply execute the I-134 and supporting documentation while you are still employed. Nobody is going to double-check to see if you're still working where you worked 60 days before the interview.

Many embassies will consider the petition of the USC has a co-sponsor willing to commit to the support of the beneficiary.

Employer letters are optional. Regardless, the man is still employed and simply considering quiting his job.

At least that's my reading of "let's suppose..." If he already quit, new ballgame.

What happens if during this interview phase they reject you based on your finances/no job? I might be leaving my current job soon as well. If possible, I don't want to use a co-sponser. If I go solo, and then get rejected, can I just send a co-sponser form and be okay? Or do I have to restart the whole K-1 process from scratch?
