I had my biometrics for both AOS and EAD done 2 weeks ago. i received a letter yesterday and asked me to retake my fingerprint for AOS. it seemd my fingerprint for EAD is fine. Anyone had same experience or explain what's going on? Many thanks for your help!

I have read before that the EAD is only one finger (right index) and the AOS is all 10 so maybe they are Ok for the one finger but not all of them. Good Luck

I had to get my fingerprints redone for AOS because the FBI said the first set wasn't clear enough for them to get a match... they sent me a new appointment letter and I went along and had them done again and that was that.

I didn't get anything telling me WHY I needed the repeat, but when I got there they handed me a printout of my biometrics with a letter attached to it and I gave that to the clerk.

My guess is that your original fingerprints weren't clear enough, and they might have lacked a specific print set (IE: thumb and/or something else). Or maybe they weren't filed.

I'm sorry to hear you have to get it done again, but hopefully the procedure will be quick and painless. :)

Don't worry I had to get my fingerprints re-done too. They do check the prints at the Biometrics office, but sometimes they're just not clear enough for whoever its being sent to.

Sorry to hear about this. I hope it will not delay your processing. I am not sure how a finger print is not "clear" enough since after taking each the program either accepts it (i.e. it is good enough) or rejects it, meaning that it has to be redone, and they keep doing it until all fingerptints pass...
