Does my fiance take my passport to interview?

Timeline
So if all checks on the USC are done does the fiance need to bring their original birth certificate and divorce papers?

The beneficiary should take all original documents, with copies, to the interview. That way, if they want to see the originals, you have them available, and then they will keep copies. The consulates WILL NOT make copies for you! Birth Certificate and Divorce Certificates are very important to have for the interview.

K-1 Timeline

11-29-05: Mailed I-129F Petition to CSC

12-06-05: NOA1

03-02-06: NOA2

03-23-06: Interview Date May 16

05-17-06: K-1 Visa Issued

05-20-06: Arrived at POE, Honolulu

07-17-06: Married

AOS Timeline

08-14-06: Mailed I-485 to Chicago

08-24-06: NOA for I-485

09-08-06: Biometrics Appointment

09-25-06: I-485 transferred to CSC

09-28-06: I-485 received at CSC

10-18-06: AOS Approved

10-21-06: Approval notice mailed

10-23-06: Received "Welcome Letter"

10-27-06: Received 2 yr Green Card

I-751 Timeline

07-21-08: Mailed I-751 to VSC

07-25-08: NOA for I-751

08-27-08: Biometrics Appointment

02-25-09: I-751 transferred to CSC

04-17-09: I-751 Approved

06-22-09: Received 10 yr Green Card

N-400 Timeline

07-20-09: Mailed N-400 to Lewisville, TX

07-23-09: NOA for N-400

08-14-09: Biometrics Appointment

09-08-09: Interview Date Oct 07

10-30-09: Oath Ceremony

11-20-09: Received Passport!!!

Please don't give out advice that could be potentially devastating unless you know for a fact it is 100% correct and you can back it up with references and citations.

I believe I made it quite clear that what I was saying was my own interpretation. I made no attempt to present that interpretation as solid fact. Hell, I even made a point to show the OP that I had, in fact, been disagreed with before. It was not advice I was offering but merely an opinion.

And with that, I take leave of this thread, because I've said my part and have no intentions of participating in an argument today :no:

08/15/2007 - K-1 Visa approved
09/01/2007 - Moved to Ohio

11/24/2007 - Married!
03/31/2008 - Received Green Card
05/03/2010 - Conditions removed

Finally applying for citizenship!

01/19/2016 - Filed N-400
01/25/2016 - NOA
02/17/2016 - Biometrics appointment
02/26/2016 - Receieved interview letter
04/01/2016 - Naturalization interview

Timeline

when i was in the interview:

- She did not ask me for his passport or copies.

- She did ask me for the original of his birth certificate, im glad i had it, and she even asked me question about his birth certificate, questions that i could not answer. like... why if he was born in 1975 the date in the birth certificate is from 3 years ago.

9-29-2005 - Sent off K1 Petition application. my brithday!!

10-03-2005 - Vermont received package

case number in the back of the check (bank online)

never Received NOA1 in mail

10-20-2005 - approved- SO SO HAPPY!!!

10-26-2005 - got NOA2 in mail saying the case was sent to NVC

11-01-2005 - got a letter from NVC saying the case was sent to Bogota embassy in oct 28th

11-04-2005 - got package 3 on Bogota and faxed DS-230 and OF-169, i will send them to the embassy too.
