Case Number: The National Visa Center (NVC) gives each immigrant petition a case number. This number has three letters followed by ten digits (numbers). The digits tell us exactly when NVC created the case. How do you know that?

If your last three digits are 001, that simply means you where the first case created for Helsinki on that day.

If you have an inside contact at the NVC, then perhaps you could determine how many cases for Helsinki were created on that day.

okay yea you're right...I was the first one for Helsinki created on that day, but I would bet I was the only one...they very rarely have immigrant visas made for Finland.
