I have travel lots to Russia in the past year. During the past couple trips, I have had the best luck scheduling trips from JFK to Moscow; I just do another flight from Tampa to JFK.

FinnAir and Aeroflot both have cheap flights to SVO2. I have been able to book a ticket on a couple weeks notice on both Aeroflot of FinnAir for around 600-800 bucks. Other airlines, such as Delta and Luftansa were quoting over 3K

What's your question here?

I think he was just sharing his experience with cheaper flights :)

Thanks, John!

Seems most flights from JFK to any major European city are around the prices listed above. It's the JFK-home flight that gets most people.

I can't ever seem to find these deals unless I want to make several stops getting to Moscow and that's a no no unless it was an emergency.

I recently got my tickets for my trip in September thru Delta Atlanta to Moscow, the usual I get, and it was $820.00. It was less than what I paid this past

May.

The plane was .5 full going and returning so it was a two nice LONG flights.

I've never flown Air France, but I flew into CDG (Paris) one time... it was very nice to be able to see the Eiffel tower et. al. during a layover. Not every airport allows that luxury.

I think I have flown most every airline the flies between USA/Moscow and USA/Belarus; at times, they all are bad and at other times, they are great. Lately, the flights have been getting very full.

I love flying within Russia on the Russian airlines; Aeroflot is nice but I think the others are much more traditionally Russian. No FAA warnings, no covered bins over the seats-more like a bus with open bins over the seats, no stay seated until the plane comes to a full stop-people are walking around and rushing to the front as the plane is landing, clapping upon touch down, leaving the airport 10 minutes ahead of schedule without warning, etc.

Sounds a lot like Southwest, or as I like to refer to it: "the Greyhound of the skies"

Air France sucks!

You are absolutely correct !

Air France is the worst! I've flown internationally with them only twice and both times they lost half the plane's luggage. Also both times we were very late and missed connections. CDG airport in Paris currently has the worst record for lost luggage. Last year I found an article that claimed they had over 30,000 pieces of lost luggage at any given time. 30,000??

Delta is not a very desirable airline, but they do have great fares from JFK to SVO and almost always are direct flights. I just hate that they still are so far behind other airlines with their cabin entertainment. No seat back monitors in coach. I think Lufthansa is the best airline in the sky. and they probably have the best inflight service.
