I sent my I - 485 in on 10th Aug, from the delivery information on US postal service tracking system online, I understand that the package has reached USCIS on 13th Aug.

It has been 15 days but I have not heard anything from them yet, no NOA, nothing. They have not cash my check either. I am getting very worried especially when i realised most of the people here received their NOAs in a week or so.

Should I be overly - worried? I understand that you can only call them if you didn't hear anything in 30 days.

Sighhhh...any advice would do me good here. Thanks.

Thanks LaL, :) ... I guess this is where that patience I have so little of comes in huh. Just curious, there is increased in filings due to more weddings in Summertime or what?

It is due to fee hikes that took effect the 30th of July. A lot of us tried to beat the deadline and filed prior to fee increase. Look at my timeline... been waiting for a month now and still nothing. But I'm not really worried since I'm not the only one. Good luck to you!

I recently called the USCIS to check on my application and I was told that it may take up to 90 days to receive the NOA1 due to the large number of applications they received. I have been waiting close to a month now and will have to keep on waiting. The only thing that frustrates me is that I really really need my EAD to come through so that I can start working. I could end up waiting for up to 6 months for it (depending on when I receive my NOA2).

I'm still waiting as well. No checks cashed and they've had my package since August 1st. As long as they've cashed the checks, I will be okay....them not doing that yet, makes me very very nervous about them misplacing everything !!!

According to the 8/24 memo they are working on i-485 applications received at the lockbox on 7/29. Expect some outliers, etc.

They update these releases weekly - just follow along and you will have some idea where they are in sifting through the massive filings. Just keep an eye on it, but don't stress.

Ah, more USCIS CYA material ! You gotta love it!

But hey, at least they're not 'officially' past me yet. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside...!

....you know what i am thinking now? Thank God for this site! Else I will be panicking crazy now without your replies!
