Hi all members,

is it true information that we have to be in relationship for at least 2 years prior to file K1 petition ?

Because I am not sure about that information as we have biased information,

please, let’s us know the right information.

Thank you…

No.  You have to have been together in the same location (meeting) at least once within 2 years before filing the I-129F.

As @Crazy Cat has said that's not correct. However, if you are from a high fraud consulate you want to avoid any red flags, a short relationship before filing may be considered one. How long have you been together and how much time have you spent together (in person) since your relationship started? How did the petitioner get their US citizenship?

Also, for a high fraud risk country just one meeting can be seen as a red flag. The more time you spend together in person, the better.
