Hello all

I’m freaking out a bit

we filed for my parents to move here permanently after I became a US citizen. I had my last name changed legally after becoming a US citizen because I thought it would be easier. The legal name change happened a few months ago (around 3-5 months). Today the  i130 petitions were approved for both parents and when we logged in we realized we did not update the last name :( we completely forgot and it is totally my fault. Any ideas on what I should do now ? I feel like a total idiot.

when filing the I 130 for each parent , you would have put all names u use and have used

your maiden name would have been one of these

If u did this , no worries

My name change occurred after we submitted the i130 petition. What would you recommend we do now

If needed, you just submit the name change document to show a link between your old and new legal names. Besides, the NVC stage mostly concerns the beneficiaries......not the petitioner.
