Hi,

I have applied to remove conditions  and got the 48 months green card extension. I think 2 years have passed. Pending app.

#1 My home's country passport has expired, does this affect in anyway my application when I get called for interview? Should I renew in prior? (Not easy).

#2 I'm married 3 years from k1 visa. For naturalization should wait 3 or 5 years? I can't clearly understand. Greencard Received: 2023-01-23

#2b if is 3 years is better to apply or just wait the lift of conditions?

#1 You don't have to renew passport. Not required to become a US citizen. But without passport you cannot leave the US... Are you OK with this?

#2 3 years of being married to US citizen and 3 years of having green card

#3 If marriage is good, go get your citizenship under 3 year rule!

Yes 1 is ok, no need to travel! Thanks!

Happily married 3 years and I think Green card is 3 years too but I will double check

Thanks a lot!! I though was 5 years!

You can wait until 5 years of being resident and apply based on that too. At that point, if I-751 is approved, you won't need to depend on marriage to US citizen. But why wait if you can become a citizen sooner :)
