Hello everyone!

I've been in the United States since January 17th, 2007 and got married here on March 21st, 2007. I came here on a K1 Visa so I've fulfilled that part of the Visa stuff. A few months back I went to Fresno because I was worried about what papers I needed next, but I've since lost those papers!

My Visa itself says it expired on the 23rd of June, 2007, but the officer said I was actually allowed to stay in the United States 6 months from the date I got married (21st March, 2007).

The trouble is I now don't have any idea what my next steps are. What forms do I need? Where do I need to send them (I'm living with my fiance in California). I also want to work. I only have my Birth Certificate and Passport/Visa with me. What other things do I need? I've lost my Police Certificate, do I need another copy of that for the papers I will now need?

In short:

I'm here, I'm married, I need a job. I don't know what to do next! Please help because I'm worried I'm going to get deported and don't know what's going on.

No offense, but what have you been doing all this time?? You should have been trying to adjust your status. You might want to get a professional to help you.

None taken, but there's been a few personal hassles at home here that I've been trying to care of. Long story short, there's 8 people living in this house and a few of them are violent. I do accept that it's been my fault for not getting things more organised.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like your spouse and you need a fresh start. There will be good advice on the way, I'm sure. Good luck.

Thankyou :)

From what I understand reading up on other websites, I need the following forms filled out:

i-130

i-468 ADIT

i-485

i-765

i-864

Does this sound familiar at all? I'm assuming I should fill them out and send them as a bundle...
