Question About Beneficiary's Parent's Info for I-129F K1 Visa

Hi! We have a bit of a weird situation (I think?) and not sure how to fill out the application because of this. I am the American Sponsor my fiancée is the Australian Beneficiary. In the section "Parent 2's Information" we are filling out the information about his mother. All fine and dandy until he told me that his mom had gotten a first name change about 10 years ago? So her first name on his birth certificate is no longer her name. So I don't know whether we need to get proof of this name change? The forums I've searched say yes but they're regarding applications that pertain to the applicant's name change whether they're the sponsor or the beneficiary and not just a parent that is listed for either the beneficiary or sponsor. We're so close to wrapping this up and I'd hate to submit not really knowing whether this is the case or not. I've also asked on reddit but it helps to get all help where I can. Use current legal name.  No supporting evidence is needed.

Isn't there a spot on the form somewhere at the end where you can add additional information? I would just explain that there and go with the current legal name. If no space, maybe add a cover letter explaining just to be sure.
