Dear members, i arrived usa with cr1 visa 2 months ago. I didn't recieve my green card yet. I paid immigration fee and when i track my card it says "fee was recieved"

now i moved to new address. I updated my address with USICS however letter I was given at the airport says " you must notify nearest CIS office if you move "

Is this a different office that I need to update my address?

What is CIS office? Do i need to go in person to update my address?

I am just confused about what to do for address change.

please if anyone can clear this confusing, i will appriciate.

thank you.

hi, my fear is that they will mail my green card to old address. i don't know if they updated my address or not.

any thoughts?

That’s always a risk. But you have done what you can and should. Watch your case status. Update your address with USPS, though this envelope will

not be forwarded. You could try calling USCIS but the chance of getting a person is low. Recheck your account profile is updates are often v slow. If you want to mail a copy.. it wont hurt
