Hi guys. Our case was sent to NVC in June 17 and we submitted a public inquiry and got our NVC case number in July 14 but we have been checking the status online and our case is still At NVC. Do you know why it is taking so long for them to send the case to the local embassy? Thanks.

As you've not filled out your timeline or your profile it's unclear what Visa is being applied for or the timeframe of things... Generally NVC will only send the case to the consulate once it's been documentary qualified.   That means they have received, reviewed and approved all the documents that you have to submit... If you got the DQ email then the amount of time that it takes to send the case to the consulate depends on the consulate and the workload of that consulate and I suppose may also depend on the type of visa and in some cases if you have a current priority date.

K1 visas don't submit any documents to the NVC. so there is no DQ for K1 visas.

whats more than likely happening is their embassy isn't ready to take their case yet.

some embassies request that cases be sent to them, instead of the NVC sending them automatically
