Case Was Submitted for Quality Review Based on an Approval Recommendation - Is this standard procedure?

So I did my N-400 and I-751 interview last week on Tuesday; everything was fairly normal, at the end we were told we'd be getting recommended for approval. 

 

Wednesday we got the update on I-751 that our case was being actively reviewed, then two updated in the past 12 hours - 

 

I-751 has been approved and new card is being produced. 

N-400 Case was submitted for Quality Review based on an Approval Recommendation

 

I'm guessing the latter is normal and the next stage will be the Oath Ceremony? Our case if very standard with no complications.

To add to that... In my case, this status was one of several statuses in history that occurred in one go. I had same day ceremony. But, if officer requires approval from a higher up, this can take some time.

Yes this is normal, yes this will eventually change in. "approved" and then "waiting for oath schedule" and then "oath has been scheduled" and no, refreshing the mail, internet page or online app does not speed up this process (trust me we have all tried that trick). And sometimes they are really evil and throw random statements in there. (though I think they've gotten better).

 

They had to approve the 751 before they could do the "quality control" could be a few more days.

Gotcha 🫡 weirdly now that I know I am so close to the finish line it feels easier to just be patient and wait.
