Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a K1 visa through the U.S. Embassy in Dakar, Senegal, and I’ve run into an issue that I’m hoping others might relate to or help with.

I made my MRV visa payment on August 6th, 2024 via the old website (www.usvisa-info.com) before they switched to the new AVITS platform (www.usvisaappt.com). Since the migration, I’ve not been able to verify my payment on the new site.

I’ve opened multiple support tickets on the AVITS site. The support team responds with instructions, but after following them exactly, I keep getting the same error message:

“The payment reference number does not exist.”

It feels like I’m in a loop—doing everything they say, but the system just won’t recognize my payment. It seems like my payment data wasn’t properly transferred from the old platform.

To make matters worse, my payment is set to expire on August 6th, 2025, and I still haven’t been able to schedule my interview.

Has anyone else gone through this? If you made your payment before the site switch and had similar issues, were you able to resolve it? If so, how?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have attached screenshots of the issue. Thanks in advance!
