Guys, violent physical exercise truly alleviates this stress.

If you're punching something, picture a USCIS or consular officer, depending on who has hosed you.

Howdy All....Just thought I would stop in and provide an update (7/22)!!.....The update IS.....

There is no update to provide. After 19 days, both cases are still sitting in "Interview Was Scheduled" since 7/3. We knew it was getting passed off for Supervisor Review as I indicated originally, and that's where it remains. I try not to get jaded by others getting approvals so quickly after the interview and not from the same field office. Not sure of their circumstances, so I don't want to make any presumptions. Luck? Interviewed with a Supervisor?....It could be any variety of things and variables. Based on research and reading other posts from other sources, the vast majority end up in "Case Being Reviewed" or they were handed a piece of paper indicating as such just like us. The quick approvals are clearly not the metric. That said, our attorney told us that they wouldn't be surprised if it took a month before we got a response. It would appear we're just some paper in a stack waiting on someone to finally address it. Who knows what that stack looks like, or how often they address it....We were like the kid who got the note paperclipped to their lapel and sent home to Mom...OR....We're like an entertainer waiting in the trailer for their scene to be called on the movie set...LOL!!. All we really pray for is the good news!!....Wish I had some great news to deliver, but instead it's in a state of suspension it would seem!! The walls in our home are still violence free, but they do look inviting...LOL!!

Punching walls with your elbows causes less damage (to yourself) than does punching them with your fists.

Howdy All....We're still sitting here tapping our feet, and refreshing pages, apps, and anything else that might offer us some kind of update! Too bad we can't tap on anyone's shoulder @ USCIS to get some answers. It would seem were just some paperwork on someone's desk still at this point, and we are no closer to rejoicing as we hope to get the chance to do!! I did, however, paint Everlast on the wall in big letters just in case... ;)

Wonder if it's worth contacting your Congressman's immigration liaison to do a status inquiry.  That might stick a pin into USCIS.

Hello All....Just thought I would come on here and keep people updated on things....Quite honestly there wasn't anything to discuss other than we got the I-131 approved in November, but due to the political climate with everything, we didn't feel this official document to travel was concrete enough to make us feel comfortable traveling. Even our lawyer advised against it just to be safe....so we continued to wait..

Today the I-130 was approved!! Fantastic news since our interview was on July 3rd...LOL!! So we expected to see an I-485 approval very soon behind, but upon further investigation, it seems an RFE is being issued regarding the I-693 medical form. From what I can tell, the I-693 form expired in March of 2025, and this is while our case was in the pipeline. It seems a new form has been issued that now expires in 2027. We are hoping all we need to do is have the Civil Surgeon just print and complete an updated version. My wife is exhausted as am I waiting for this to complete....

Hoping this is a simple fix and not just more months of waiting...Wish we could just upload it and be done...I guess it has to be sealed and mailed...

At any rate...that's where we are at this moment....Some great news, but not the end of the road it seems...

Cheers :)

....Continued

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!! While we were going through the frustration and emotions of a potential RFE that we frankly didn't understand, we went to my wife's physical therapy appointment. I'll be quite honest, the angst of the current administration, news media, wild I.C.E. stories, the long wait, and the possibility of more time not getting an outcome had taken it's toll in a mental way you can't imagine.

While we were sitting there waiting for my wife to be called back around 3pm, she got another email saying there had been an update to our I-485 case. There wasn't any sort of excitement on board since we simply expected to log in and find out that we officially had an RFE pending. Keep in mind, even with the document I stumbled upon, there had not been any official update to the status of our case. It was still just sitting at "Interview Scheduled" from June 6th. When we logged in, she scrolled down to the I-485, and low and behold...it said..../drum roll please.....APPROVED!! I was so blown away and in a state of shock...I jumped up and ran out of the front door not knowing what to do with my emotions!! Was this really real??

We were simply beside ourselves and had to pinch each other to finally realize that we made it!! 158 days since the interview, and 325 days since originally filing, our future together here finally has a most thankful and happy endings answer!!

Cheers
Tim & Helena
