Tesla Stock - Do you see it getting back to $450 per share in next 6 months?

I bought some Tesla stock last month when it was around $245 per shares, I figured this is a once in lifetime opportunity since people were burning Tesla Dealerships and some were butt hurt with DOGE and after Tariff announcement stock market dropped, and Tesla really dropped.

 

First time for me to buy stock, and I guess I lucky and it has really skyrocketed last few weeks. 

 

Do you see it hitting high like it was a few months before it dropped? I was thinking about taking the money and running, but would hate to leave some money on the table.

Good for you!  Thoughts:

 

1.  If trends continue, even better.  Conversely,

2.  Greed has hosed many an investment plan.

 

If you can afford to lose your investment, keep intensely abreast of all news and react accordingly.

If you can do more with your profits than without them, cash out.  Remember capital gains taxes, too.

Addendum:  I've recently found some excellent CD rates (year or longer) still over 4.00% interest rate.  Will be happy to share via PM with anyone.  No conflict of interest in the recommendations.

Thanks for tip.  That where I have been putting my money in CD last few years, I was getting 5% but seems like them days are over with, I have Bank OZK in my area paying 4.50% on 7 months, and it's brick and mortar bank I can walk into in city.   I have Charles Schwabb SWVXX Money Market account you can get you money out in 24 hours and no penatly and it's paying like 4.12%, but back about 2 years ago it was paying in the mid 5%.

It's play money for me, It's only $40K I invested in stocks, As of yesterday I had made $17K, So in two months I went from $40K to $57K. 

 

I almost cashed out when I made $2K and I decided to let it ride, which made me feel like EF Hutton.

You don't gain anything until you sell.   I bought a piece of a Bitcoin in 2017.  It was $19K then.  If I sold today, I would be way up....but.....

Yes.  Highest CDs I'm seeing are mid-4% for 7 to 9 months, but I'm looking at longer-term.  Look at Eagle Bank for 12 to 24 months, and Farm Bureau Bank for 3, 4, and 5 years (4.20% APY, 4.11% interest rate as of May 29).  You need not be a member of a farm bureau to buy a CD from the latter.

 

Edited to add:  A while back, a New York Life annuity (the cream of the crop) was paying something like 7%.

You can always cash out now and reinvest the original $40K into Tesla, now or later.

I've gotten some good special CD rates from Bank OZK over the last year or so.  I usually opt for the 7 month terms.  Right now, I think they have a 4%.

I have a few CD's with them now, all are still getting the 5%, 3 of them mature in next few months.  They are offering 4.50 on 7 month CD and 4% on a 13 month as of today.

 

I have been riding out the CD game since it got good a couple years ago.

I didn't look but I bet you I lost about $1500 yesterday.

I have been a customer of that bank for more than 20 years.  I have one getting close to maturity as well.

I found them 2 years ago looking for CD and best rates, I think I was getting 5.20 on couple CDs couple years ago with them.

 

So far I like them, but only have CD accounts with them

As said earlier, you need not be a member of a farm bureau to purchase one.  The customer-service lady spent nearly half an hour on the phone with me, answering my questions.  She says that you can register a joint owner during purchase, and (this is a boon!) also concurrently ask for accrued monthly interest to be paid out without having to perform a second step later (phoning, filing another form, etc.).
