So my wife's n400 has been rejected twice. I am a bit confused as to what we are doing wrong in regards to the reduced fee amount. I have included pics of our receipt letter and part 10 of the form. Our check was for 380 which the fee schedule shows. Any idea what we are doing wrong?

As for the other things mentioned in rejection we figured out and believe we have corrected. My wife messed up filling out page 3 of n400. When she reprinted a new page a new edition of the form came out. Page 3 was new edition and rest was old edition. Old edition is accepted for few more weeks but the mix of the 2 had them put page 3 back by the evidence and say it was missing. Could this have anything to do with the fee problem?

100% they will reject it for mixing pages from different editions.  That is why it was rejected.  The rejection notice says "If you submitted I-912, Request for a Fee Waiver, or this form is available for a Fee Exemption, the determination of the Fee Waiver or Exemption has not been made at this time."  They didn't even consider if the fee waiver is valid or not.

Yeah I didn't request a fee waiver. We just did a reduced fee. 380 dollars. I figured I'd send it back with the mixed edition corrected with same check. The part that bothers me "Payment amount does not match the required amount for what you selected. Then again at bottom "Please resubmit with appropriate fees"

I think letter says everything clearly:

- Don't mix form editions. Use the latest at the time of filing

- Include all pages of form when filing

- Include evidence for fee reduction (read I-912 instructions). At least most recent W-2 is needed

Yes don't mix form editions is a obvious mistake I missed when final checking it after wife rewrite page 3.

I-912 I did read but seems it is only for fee extention now. Anyhow, I checked multiple sources on requirements. We both sent 4 weeks of paystubs, 3 years of tax transcripts and bank information.

I feel good about our packet now except for why is states the check amount we sent was wrong.
