How do you guys know where yours n400 at ? Once I applied there was address of Missouri. Is there should be indication when it gets transferred to my state ?

It should just be your local field office, are you saying your receipt notice says Missouri but you live elsewhere?

My N-400 estimated time changed from 2 months to 5 months yesterday (5-year, no I-751).

Some people say this means there has been some movement in your case at the back end. Possibly your file moving from NVC to local office. People have reported an update such as interview notice within 1 to 2 weeks of such an increase of timeline.

Have you ever lived in Missouri?

Receipt letter from (Lee's Summit) Missouri is normal, they're all sent from there for paper filings, lots of admin is done there. That shouldn't be the Field Office processing your case if you live in NC. Can you check your online status, if so what does that say?

My Field Office would be in Charlotte NC . Was wondering if my case is still in Missouri or it has transferred to my local office

It shouldn't be in Missouri at all, it's just that your receipt notice came from there. But check your online status.

Charlotte is 8 months processing time on average so if you only applied in May, still a little while to go.

Good luck.

Well I applied back in March , the reason I asked under this topic is because it seems more active here .
and lots of applicants say that the form goes first to NBC office From there, it is transferred to a local field office

Oh, ok - best to stick to the March thread then, rather than derail this one, but you've still got a while to go. Good luck.

Like others have confirmed, this is NBC address and is normal as all cases first get sent to NBC.

You cannot really know if your case has moved to local office until you get your interview letter. However you can chat with live agent on USCIS website and ask. They often are lazy and answer it is at NBC even if it has moved to local office. Ask a few of them until you find someone who actually digs down and checks. It may still very well be at NBC.

Another way to check is from your API / JSON notes. Log in to your USCIS account. Then in separate tab of same browser put in https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/xxxxxxxxxxxx (fill in your receipt number instead of Xs). If the update at timestamp  is the same as your date of application or a few days after, your case is still at NBC. If it is more recent then that, and not associated with any otehr activity such as biometrics, it would indicate it probably moved to local office.

If I have an update on JSON on my 5 year anniversary, does it mean my file is at local office?

If you see an updated at date that is not associated with anything else such as security check, and the date is well after you submitted, then yes that usually means your file moved to local office.

You can copy paste what you see on JSON here (removing receipt numbers and any other identifiers) and I can tell you what I can interpret.
