hi all,

I am just a bit concerned about the process and lack of communication/confirmation.

We sent all the forms (I485, i131+expedite request and i765; all in one big letter but in different envelopes marked what they are) with a detailed cover letter for all of these, also included G-1450 to pay for all of these and e-notification form G-1145..

it's been 3 weeks since UPS has delivered the letter and I didn't get any notification of USCIS receiving or what not. What is the usual wait time for that? Do they even send the notification of "received" files or not? I assumed by sending G-1145 they would let us know. Because when we sent the I-129F during covid and unusual long wait times, they literally let us know about the files received within a few days...

Is it because there are some delays within the USCIS or they might have just discarded the letter etc? I don't know what to think :( Should we re-send all the forms separately instead?

Do NOT re-send anything at this point.  If you know it was delivered, just wait for the NOA1s to arrive.  You do NOT want multiple packages floating around in the system.  It could take a few more weeks.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Those G-1145s are hit and miss.

Ah, yeah though so - wouldn't be the best course of action...  Alright will try to be patient, but yeah would be nice if G-1145 would just work as intended, probably wouldn't panic as much if it wasn't for that i-131 haha.

1. When to Submit an Expedite Request

You generally may request we expedite your case AFTER you receive a receipt notice. (The process to request an expedite is different in some circumstances. See the Specific Procedures section below.)

2. How to Make an Expedite Request

For most cases, you may request an expedite by contacting the USCIS Contact Center or by asking Emma. (You can access Emma by clicking on the Ask Emma icon on the top right of this page). You need to explain why you need expedited processing. You also generally need to provide your receipt number to the USCIS Contact Center so they can send your request to the office that has your application or petition. If you have a USCIS online account and have access to secure messaging, you may select “expedite” as the reason for your inquiry and submit your request there.

You generally need to justify your expedite request with evidence. When communicating with the Contact Center, you will be asked about supporting documentation. You should be prepared to supply this to the office processing your case.

If you have a USCIS online account, you should upload evidence through your online account to support your expedite request in addition to calling the USCIS Contact Center. If you send a secure message, we will ask you to confirm that you have uploaded evidence in your account. If we receive an expedite request without evidence to support it, we will send you instructions on how to submit the evidence.

It's quite possible you've held up the process of your Noa1 receipt yourself so you'll just have to wait.
