My wife's green card will expire soon. We're filling out Form I-90 to renew. Besides her passport, a copy of her current green card, birth certificate, proof of residence, etc... what supporting evidence do we need?

This is not a 2 year Green Card, correct?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I think the I-90 is for a replacement card in case the original was lost, etc.

After the end of her 2 year card. You should be applying for her 10 year, I-751.

It’s also used if the original card expires within 6 months (renewal). We’re renewing a 10-year card.

I-90 doesn't require much evidence. I think you got it all.

Any plans to file for N-400? If she files for it now, she'll get 24 months extension letter for her GC and wouldn't need to pay fee for renewing GC.

Cost of filing N-400 online - $710

Cost of filing I-90 online - $415

Citizenship gives more certainty in life IMHO, if the plan is to live in the US long term.

Yes, we will file for naturalization but just waited too long (life got in the way) to do it now.
