I submitted 16, and used photos of us in public places and with family members. I also took care to document the location of each photo, the time and date, and the names and relationships of each person within the photo.

However, this was only secondary evidence. I made sure to include primary evidence which included boarding passes, passport stamps, receipts, i.e. paperwork with both our names on it with dates that showed we were togther and have met within the 2 year period prior to filing.

A couple pics showing you and her by a landmark like the airport will add evidence of meeting tho.

Doesn't prove you met in 2 years but the rest should back that up.

Passport copies showing entree and exit stamps "hold a LOT of water".

At least they know you have been in the RP.

Actually it's not that easy to prove you've physically met in 2 years.

In the old days people would hold up a newspaper showing the date and have a picture taken of them.

Haven't heard of peeps doing that anymore.

Proof of a bonafide relationship happens later at the USEM interview.

That's the time to hit them with a full load!

My wife had 40 pics on 10 pages at the interview and flew 4 days later.

Piles of other evidence also tho.

Make 2 copys of EVERYTHING as what you submit will end up in front of your lady at the embassy.

Send 1 copy to her so she knows what's happening.

actually right now its easy to prove you've met in the last 2 years. take a picture of you and your other holding the last harry potter book. dont even have to buy it, just go to book store and take the picture. the whole world knows that just came out in july 07. we happened to go to the newest potter film ( order of the phoenix) on my visit. we had a picture of the movie poster showing date of release with the words now showing on top, had our pic in front with it, and submitted the movie tickets and receipts. it had the same effect. pretty much everybody know all the hoopla surrounding the book and movie release. no way me met anytime earlier than july 07 since we have picts with that.

of course i have all the plane tickets, boarding passes, visa stamps etc in addition. but the pictures place us at a specific time.

you dont have to use Harry potter but similiar things work. holding a copy of rolling stone or newsweek with date on it and then submit the cover. etc etc.

A little late for the OP but a picture in a bank with the money exchange board behind you is good, provided the board shows time and date.

I'd worry just a little about only having primary evidence I was in a country for a 4 year span of time but as long as some of it was within the two years, I don't see them denying the petition.

Pictures are only secondary evidence. Let me quote what TimsDaisy would say:

Submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the two-year period preceding the filing of the petiition. The primary evidence may include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that indicate month, day, and year), copies of passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps, military order(s), letter from Commanding Officer, or any evidence that will help the USCIS to determine that the petitioner has met the beneficiary within the two years. The secondary evidence may be film dated photographs of the petitioner and the beneficiary together. The following DOES NOT constitue evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, and greeting cards.

If you go by what TimsDaisy [Who ever he may be] you may end up like me and be denied for lack of enuf pictures.

Just proving having met DON"T count. That's what I thought the first time around! WRONG

You have to prove you have a "bonafide relationship". Even show you are in love as much as possible.

Snail mails, emails, phone bills count BIGTIME.

Plus photos are still "numero uno"!

Tim daisy was quoting the USCIS and Visa journey guidelines. For the I-129f pictures are "secondary" evidence. boarding passes, visa stamps and airline ticket copies are "primary" evidence. the important aspect of the I129f is that you met in the last 2 years. pictures dont always prove that. they just prove you were together at some point in the past and dates on pictures can be faked etc. i wonder what proof you didnt submit that caused you to have a RFE and that they requested more "pictures" from you. i bet they requested more "evidence" from you and you chose to send more pictures.

you say your I-129f was denied because of lack of pictures. but then you say you needed snail mails, emails and phone bills. so im confused on what you were denied for and what you resubmitted.

either way, timDaisy is quoting official guidelines and thats what they deem primary evidence and secondary evidence

and it would help beckypua if you filled out a timeline so we could place your comments in context. you are removing conditions so you are now in AOS process?

My reaction to Beckypua's post is very similar. She says her I-129F was denied and they wanted more pictures, phone bills etc. That sounds like the I-129F was approved but the visa was denied initially at the interview. The request would have been for more evidence of bona fide ongoing relationship.

This thread is about what to file with the petition, not about what to bring to the interview.

At the petition stage pictures definitely are NOT King. Evidence of meeting in person is definitely the priority.

At the interview, evidence of meeting is pretty meaningless. Bona fides are the key. Communication, visits and pictures are then the royalty.

Just to clarify! And I stand corrected as I was talking about the interview where what I mentioned comes in to play.

Yes! When doing original K1 petition all USCIS is mainly looking for is proof of meeting in 2 years.

Don't really need pictures. I sent one of me and fiance holding a newspaper showing the date.

Boarding passes, hotel bills and copy of stamp in passport and Intent to marry will normally suffice.

After having my senator and congressman look into to the embassy denial and me talking to the head honcho at USEM.

We were informed that the main reason for denial was lack of pics showing me, fiancee and her family together.

We had emails, letters and phone records also.

Specific words were: Lack of proving a bonafide relationship!
