This morning in the mail I received a "registration acknowledgement" letter from the select service system?

 

Looking online it seems that you must register if you're living in the USA between the ages of 18 and 25, but I didn't register for this myself.

 

Is this standard in adjustment of status? I've filed my I-485, got my I-765 card, currently working and waiting for my adjustment of status application to be approved for my greencard and this letter really surprised me and I'm honestly just wondering if anyone else had this happen or if it's standard?

 

Please help my head sort itself outt

The issue has been people not registering when they should as you you need to. Not sure how they picked it up, DMV?, but good they have.

 

In the mean time watch Full Metal Jacket, well the beginning covering Boot Camp.
