Questions for everyone who had their N-400 interviews since February:

Did they ask you about your social media accounts?

Did they ask you to show them your phone?

Thanks in advance!

No, wasn't asked for either.

Social media accounts are asked from non-immigrant visa applicants.

Don't take your phone to interview if you're worried about it 😃

No, BUT... I deleted all social media off my phone out of an abundance of caution anyway. Also, all of my social media accounts are private, none of them have a public picture of me, none of them have my real name, and the email I use for social media isn't the same I use for USCIS.  So even if they wanted to, they'd never find anything about me, lol.

They started doing it for everyone this year.

Source: USCIS Notice on Collection of Social Media Identifiers on Immigration Forms

But the forms haven't been updated yet, AFAIK.

You're subject to rules under which you applied for N-400.

Say tomorrow there's new N-400 form asking for social media handles. You won't be requested to file a new form.

Hello guys! Filed mine under the 5yr rule in CT.

3/17 - N400 application filed

3/17 - Biometrics reuse

6/5 - Interview Scheduled

7/24 - Interview and oath ceremony combo.

Goodluck everyone!

I see alot of people getting interview and oath ceremony, I filed March 8th, I hope get get notice for interview soon.

I applied on 03/31. Would be great to get an interview sooner, but quite frankly I don’t expect to hear anything until at least October. The only downside is I’ve got a trip planned for early October, taking my kid to Europe and Dubai so I’m hoping the timing doesn’t clash. Fingers crossed we both get some good news soon.

And congrats to everyone who’s already completed their interviews and oaths or has their oath coming up.

Hello,

I literally just had my interview 2 days ago in CT and nothing was asked about my social media or phone. Your statement might be right for some but it's not true for me. Goodluck!
