Oh lord.. 2 weeks? Good thing you got right on this. Did they make your wife do the whole exam or did they do just the vaccine assessment? Thanks for reporting back @KoreaninHawaii :)

So we filled out the I-693 sections we needed to fill out but we checked the number 4.

"Immigration Medical Examination Requirement 4.
I am eligible for completion of the vaccination record portion only, because I previously completed an overseas
immigration medical examination, signed by a panel physician (refugee or derivative asylee adjustment of status
applicants under Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) section 209 and K nonimmigrant visa holders applying for
adjustment of status)."

Since we actually handed over all her medical exam when she arrived and we only had her vaccination record from SLEC.

So the doctor I guess fills out the rest but yes she has to get some shots here then the results or whatnot will be sent to the other doctor so he can sign off on it so we are going to go do it tomorrow morning so hopefully by 2 weeks from that Friday it will be done. Doctor said they will sign and have it sealed so we just have to pick it up. I'm hoping we are done by then because her interview is 3 days from that Friday.

Also when I saw they changed the rules for I-693 for AOS I-485 I got super stressed. 😪

That won't affect you for this.... Since this medical exam is for your current filing it will be good until they adjudicate the I-485

So we went to Jaycel's initial appointment at the civil surgeon we found here that has good reviews and they are going to do just the vaccine assessment for us. Once I explained that she had her immigrant medical exam overseas and that the clinic screwed up and didn't have the new guidance on Polio vaccines they said no problem, took her vaccine history and will have the doctor just fill out parts 1-5, 7 & 10 as per that exemption on page 1 of the form. :) They only charged us $50. If anyone needs an honest Civil Surgeon in the Denver Metro area, go to Centennial Medical Center. They are super helpful, honest and accommodating! They got us an appointment the day after I called them.

By the way, its been 2 weeks, still do not have feedback from the time they cancelled my RFE (which was not really sent).

I do not think any of it hardly this days, just glad the interview is over, but does it really take long to have the result?

Like my excitement, or anxiety are all up in few days and now its just sleeping in... HAHAHA

2 weeks is very early. Letters take 2-6 weeks easily to reach you if sent by USCIS.

Just an update!

Hooray! Its approved just now, an hour ago... 😄 The notice however says we might be called for a biometrics, photo or signature thing prior to card's release... is this normal? Or just a generic statement for everyone?

Agree with @Aserc on this... you guys are a legit couple and from reading your posts as we have gone along here I know you guys have your stuff together :) I have been reading a ton of interview reviews recently on Reddit (since almost everyone gets one now, there are a LOT :)and the vast majority (90%+) have been saying that the officers are kind, professional and basically just "checking the boxes" on these interviews that they have to do that would have otherwise got a waiver in the past few years. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you @Aserc @Edward and Jaycel. I just need to focus on whats on hand and stay positive. :). We are going this Thursday to pick up and sign her medical paperwork. They called us the other day that we can pick it up so I'm seeing that as a good sign. Then work for a day or two then off to Honolulu to get set for the interview. Will keep everyone updated once it done. 💓

We just picked up Jaycel's sealed envelope from the civil surgeon for the vaccine assessment to add her Polio vaccine to the record. One more hurdle cleared. LOL
