Hi

I applied for naturalization as spouse of US Citizen at the 3 month early point, August 23 last year. So the time has been whittling down with the standard ‘USCIS is actively reviewing your case’ until a few weeks ago when the ‘my progress’ tab became available. Since then it has shown step 3 of 5  (current step) interview scheduled and counting down to a current 4 weeks estimated time until case decision.  As I write this I have yet to attend an interview nor receive notice of an interview being scheduled! I am aware that these are only ‘estimates’ etc but should it be concerning? TIAIMG_0223.thumb.png.21ff75d57d742d1805c96c118b119d5f.png

What is your field office?  That is way longer than most.   Estimates for our field office, for example, is currently 5.5 months.

Denver,CO which right now is showing as 80% completed within 7.5 months and to be fair I’m just a little over 4 months from filing.

Oh, apologies!  I thought you meant August 2023.  Right, so you're well within normal processing time at 4 months in.

Is there any update on your case?

My Progress status is the same. I have not received the interview notice, neither online nor in the mail. Is this normal?

Minneapolis is also 7.5 months, so you’re still a long way off if you only filed last month. Is your interview notice under your Documents tab? If not, just wait for it in the mail.

Normal. You're misreading MyProgress. It says it's a current step. But it's not checked, meaning it's not yet done, e.g. interview isn't yet scheduled.

Again, refer to my prior message about MyProgress:

No, those estimates in MyProgress are largely inaccurate.

People get "Your case is taking longer than expected" 9 days after filing the case! Others get "7 months to decision" on the day of their oath.

There's nothing to be worried about.

No, zero movement. My case is still stuck at USCIS is actively reviewing your case. Been that way since September 13 last year.

Update - I today went from ‘your case is taking longer than estimated but still within processing time’ to Estimated time to case decision 5 months!!. In the USCIS Notices my Biometrics appt notice which I attended back in September is also missing. So I have gone from applying 7 months ago and Denver office running at 80% complete within 7.5 months to another 5 months to case decision. Who knows why, because of course can’t ask a question until late June!, Frustrated.

The MyProgress estimates can be safely ignored

And with that, Interview notice received today for April 17th. My progress can definitely be ignored, at the time of writing this I  had gone from 5 months to 3 months!!
