NVC Update:

it’s been 6 weeks and no email! We sent an inquiry 20 days ago. It says we should wait at least 60 days to try again.

In theory we should hear back this week based on trackmyvisa’s app. Is anyone else still waiting after 4-6 weeks?

Personally, after 6 weeks I would be submitting the public inquiry for with them every week. When you inquired 20 days ago, did you ask them to update the file with yours and you fiancée's email addresses and give them the correct emails? Sometimes they transpose the email address incorrectly from the I-129F into the DoS system. If not, then when doing your next inquiry, after asking for your case number say something along the lines of:

Please update our case with the following email addresses:

Petitioner: XXXXXXX@email.com

Beneficiary: XXXXXX@email.com

I was reading online that it isn’t good to send in public inquiries so often. The system could flag our case. Idk how true that is.. The last communication basically said after 60 days to reach out. I guess that’s their threshold to make them take action..

Yes, we're also still waiting for an NVC update.

Have you sent in a public inquiry yet?

Not true.... We sent a request 3 times, a week apart despite them telling us to wait 30+ days each time and got our case number on the 3rd request and there were no flags or otherwise adverse effects. Jaycel had her visa 2 and a half months later

We are still waiting to have the case sent to DOS. 7 weeks today exactly. Hoping to hear something next week. Do we know if they send cased to DOS every day? I think I saw a calendar with dates for NVC to embassy transfers but not sure if that's the case for DOS too

Our case was approved january 31st and sent to state february 20th. So it takes a little while and then they enter it in and send to your embassy depending on the backlog. It is a bit of a grueling process, but it will definitely take less time than your noa2!

I agree with E&J, I would send a new PI every week or so, as long as you have gotten a response since the last time you did it. If you worry maybe every other week.

Thanks for the heads up! So after 6 weeks our case was FINALLY. Transferred to the DOS.. So now we have to wait for the case to arrive plus processing time to get our case number. I’m guessing probably another 3-4 weeks until we can move forward..

Yeah I would give them 3-4 weeks before making an inquiry. So happy to hear it’s finally route to NVC! :)

June 28 NOA1 here. How is it possible that we can't even contact USCIS until a year and week after our NOA1 date? This is absurd that there is not a way to get them to address this skipped batch today. I saw and felt so sad for the February-March 2024 batch that was skipped.  How could they repeat the mistake again so quickly? Why can't a single communication method be used to say "WAKE UP, you skipped a batch!"

I'd love to have an employee of CSC to join us here.  Perhaps USCIS should allow an insider to join this community and provide informal updates. I know tech companies monitor their users' forums.

Yeah, i know... be patient... yadda yadda yadda  :'(

Finally we received RFE first week of May.  Sent all evidence within 3 days of receiving official RFE letter including evidence of additional in person meeting since filing the i129f .  Now waiting for RFE status to update again.  According to my certified mail, they received our RFE Response today.  I wonder how long it takes for approval once RFE evidence is received?

It depends on the complexity of the RFE - I had an RFE on my I-129F, I was missing official documents from an arrest I had 30 years prior. I got the certified documents and 4 days after they received it, the petition was approved

4 days would be a godsend.... I am not that optimistic given our experience so far.

Was your RFE complex or simple? Was the evidence of additional in-person meetings since filing the I-129F requested or was that unsolicited evidence?
