We recently received our K1 Visa Case number and were notified that our case has been received by the NVC. However, we noticed that our Case number, MNL2024662080, starts with the initials MNL, which we have been told indicates that our case is bound for the embassy in Manila,Philippines.

I am a citizen of the Philippines, but I'm currently living and working in Chiang Mai,Thailand.

We already sent an inquiry about this. But should we do a transfer of case at this point?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I believe you need to contact the Embassy you wish to transfer your case to and follow their instructions for transfer.

Thank you so much for answering my inquiry. It's really annoying because I stated on the form i-129f that I am working here in Thailand and prefer to be interviewed here but they still send my case to Manila. But it is what it is. 🥲

If it was already sent to Manila by mistake but it should have gone to Bangkok I think you need to notify US Embassy Bangkok to request Manila to transfer it.  The destination embassy needs to initiate the transfer.  If it's still at NVC maybe they can fix it there.
