Reschedule N400 Interview

Not sure where to post this question. My wife's father died so we are currently in the Philippines as of last week. We are planning on staying until August 8. Of course this morning we received notification that her interview is scheduled for July 8. Does anyone have any experience or advice about rescheduling the interview? We could go back to the USA early. It would cost us extra but it is just money, right ;-).

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice to reschedule your appointment. There is no penalty if you reschedule your appointment.

She applied Jan 2 so it was moving right along. Based on past results we were shooting for August but you know how that goes.
