It was no fees earlier. Do not know if that has changed. Best and quick option will be spend few money and have a virtual call with an attorney to the most accurate result. A call with an attorney for a 30 mins will cost you 100-250. And I would advise that just sending the application will not result in anything. You have to send proofs. If an application is only been sent it may denied initially and no prima facie will get issued. So be cautious don’t rush get attorneys advise.

Hi folks, i have been on this forum for a while and learnt a lot here. I filed Vawa in 2022 and got approved May 2025 with i485 concurrent filing. I received RFE for medical and it's been 3 months now with no update. How long does it take to get interview or approval? I did reach out to USCIS and they said all i can do is wait. I have not seen my family in 5yrs and really want to travel this year. What can i do?

Any application send with a fee waiver will not have any problem as far as you are qualified for that benefits.

They will first adjudicated the fee waiver and if it's not approved,

1-They will ask you to pay the appropriate fee on the best scenario or

2- will send back your application in the worst scenario for you to resend with the appropriate fee 

So nothing to be afraid of as far as you send all the files concurrently.

But you have to list all the forms attached to your waiver form.

Nothing to be afraid of.

It's the process and USCIS goes by it.

Did they asked you to send the medical or to bring it during the interview?

In my case, after sending the medical, it took less than 3 months.

But all depends on the workload in your field office.

It's a good sign as they had RFE you already for medical.

Soon, everything will be over.

since it is over 90 days. I would say make the info pass appointment or contact your representative.
