NBI WITH AKA

I WAS TRYING TO RENEW MY NBI CLEARANCE FOR A TRAVEL ABROAD PURPOSE. THE US EMBASSY IS REQUESTING ME TO HAVE AN NBI CLEARANCE WITH AKA. THE NAME ON IT WAS "MA CLARISSE JUANILLO DELOS REYES." THE NICKNAME LISTED WAS "CLARISSE." DOES IT MATTER IF I DON'T PUT "MA. CLARISSE" (THAT'S HOW IT IS IN MY OTHER IDS) IN MY AKA? IS IT A BIG DEAL EVEN IF IT'S JUST A DOT? PLEASE DO NOTE THAT I AM SINGLE AND NEVER BEEN MARRIED SO I NEVER USED ANY SURNAMES OR ALIASES. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO READ THIS.

What is the meaning of the "dot"?  Is "MA." an abbreviation for a longer name like MARIA or similar and they shortened it so it so the name would all fit on your ID????  If that were the case(???), the embassy may want both the short version and the long version of the name(???)

I would suggest getting the AKA in exactly the name that was requested.  If they asked for Ma Clarisse, don't request Ma. Clarisse.  I would be surprised if Ma Clarisse and Ma. Clarisse would return different results though.

Is Clarisse really a nickname?  Or is it your given name?  Based on the way it's written, it seems like your given name.

It is short for Maria, as you guessed, but Maria is never actually spelled out (that I've seen), even on legal documents.  It's always with Ma or Ma with a period.

That is an abbreviation for Maria. My original name is Ma. Clarisse. I never used Maria in anything
