Hello everyone!
I am a US citizen and my husband is a graduated F1 student who is now working under post completion OPT. I was hoping someone can help us answer our questions for the affidavit of support we have to fill out for my husband’s green card application.

I do not have qualifying tax forms from the past three years as I was a student and unemployed for one year and did not earn enough the other two years. However, I started a new job very recently and this salary is sufficient according to USCIS. I will only have two paychecks from my new job by the time we file for my husband’s green card application, but will this suffice as evidence? I will also be including the tax forms that I have that do not meet their income requirement from the year before.

Thank you so much for your help, we really appreciate it!!

It should work but then again, only USCIS decides if it is enough. You should include an employment verification letter from HR which would strengthen your case. If you have a joint sponsor, I’d send that too.
