Waiver of ineligibility

Hi. I recently visited the US embassy in Belfast as unable to get an appointment in London till next year.

I've have had 2 B1/B2 Visas but had expired April 23. The documents are being forwarded to HLS in America for approval.

Has anyone recently been through this experience and can advise me on their wait times for return.  I foolishly booked a family holiday with grandchildren in late March, but have been given a wait time of 5/6 months by the embassy  😪

I'm hoping that this is the worst case scenario but NO accurate information is available.

Thank you

I have not seen many recently but 6 months certainly was the norm.

All I can talk about is averages, I would comment processing times seem more volatile than they used to be

Thanks

Seems a extremely long wait. I've had two previously and never took that long.

Covid-19 pandemic again!!

Cheers

It’s not due to Covid these days.

Seems odd to book travel when you need a waiver ??  Is it a 601?  Those can take a year or more.

I have been waiting six months now, interview Oct 2023, my first visa B1/B2 in 2017 took just on six months too. I go to Greece in 7 weeks , not sure if I can go , if they email me to send passport back I might miss my chance if I’m in  Greece, not sure how long you get to send it back, getting nervous.
