Nah I'm not gonna delay the wedding for cash and career - I'd rather be broke and happy than rich and pissed off ... Advance Parole - it makes people sound so untrustworthy!!!

Going back to ireland for Christmas will be out too then ... lol.

Well you could be there much earlier if CSC keeps up the momentum. If you're staying until October anyway - then another month might not make that much difference especially as there might be a period of time when you cannot work once you're there. The more money you have to take with you the less stress you're going to feel when you can't earn. That's just one pov tho. I prolly would bite the bullet and just go too if it were me.

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Woot! Congratulations to them! The last time I got my hopes up I was severely disappointed, so I'm really trying to keep my feet anchored firmly to the ground. But I gotta say...it's beginning to look a lot like (before) Christmas!

Wow thats 12 in what 3 days???????? Lol if they keep this up they through August in a matter of a week or two.

Especially when you consider that 5 of those were on 1 day. 5 approvals per day is starting to get into "zomgwtfbbq!!11!!!!1!!" territory.

Yep, it is starting to look promising again. I am sure they will zip through August in no time. It would be interesting to see how long VSC took to clear their August filers *wanders off to look*

Hmmm... Interesting. I see a bug in my list. Lynn & Tony are not on it because they don't have a sent date. I'll need to fix that.

On the other hand there's another new NOA2 that was posted by Asachan & Phillip. Congrats to them too!!!

No! The reason your petition is in a more favourable position on StP's list is cos you got your NOA1 before me...and a few others who got chucked in the back of a semi-truck for two months back in the summer.

See what you guys think - I just posted this in the K-1 section too but would like your thoughts!!!

I've been offered a new contract in the UK up until November which is a great opportunity career wise and it's DOUBLE the pay I recieve now.

The problem is it's a contract until November and we get married in October (provided we get our visa).

Can I take the job, go to the USA for our wedding then come back to the UK and finish the contract and then depart for the US full time? I know there are rules about this but I'm not clear if they make an exceoption for things like work etc.

And no, I can't start the job and then leave in October - it's a project one would have to see out to the bitter end!!!

It's over to you guys.

Have you booked the wedding? If not, then delay entering the US until November. You can enter the US and not use the visa (I think) but if you plan on getting married whilst you there it will have to be an unofficial ceremony since you cannot leave the US following a legal wedding until you have Advanced Parole which you file for with AOS. Leaving the US before you get AP would mean you gave up the visa process and you would then have to apply for K3.

Please correct me if I am wrong guys.

Babbles - that sounds about right to me :) We all have our own way of doing things and our own priorities but it is defo nice to know all our options :D

As for funnies... I'm drinking port, not coffee... so much as the sentiment of spraying beverage is appreciated... I am not wasting the port... Theoretically of course I have now short circuited my puter through liquid intolerance or something :lol:
