CSC seem to take holidays on any day that ends with a "y." :D

No, no holidays on those days. Just typical sporadic processing from CSC.

Utterly ridiculous CSC still hasn't approved as many applications as VSC any week in like 2 months now. Pretty sad considering they have way more pending applications. It's like the management at CSC has completely different focus than at VSC.

Something just does not make sense at all.

Agreed... I am not sure what their problem is...

I spoke with my congressmans immigration aide about this last week. (My congressman is married to a Guatemalan, thought he would be a little help) It wasn't. She told me that CSC processes about 2/3 of all visas, thats why they are so behind all the time. She also told me that they are the "overflow" service center. So anything the other service centers can't seem to keep up with automatically get pushed off on CSC. So if VSC gets behind in their visa petitions, guess where they go? YEP!!! You got it, CSC!!!! I wonder what they consider "behind"? Maybe when their approvals start hitting the 45 day mark. That way, mine can sit that much longer. Wouldn't want the VSC to look bad now. If this was a private sector business, they would have been bankrupt ages ago. Sorry for the rant, but this is an INCREDIBLE irritant to me. I can't believe I shed blood for this country, and the first time I ask for anything of this country, and this is how I get treated. :ranting: By the way the whole conversation with her, was a complete and utter waste of my time.

Grats to Juan & Amber - November filers that got approved last week but just updated their timelines - thanks! Usually we get around 5-7 laggards during the first few days of the week which should put us at a 3 per day average for the last 4 weeks. For CSC that's somewhat anemic, but its at least consistent. These guys need to get back to the 30-40 approval level again - like the good ol days a month ago  I'm hoping that the approvals accelerate like they did last year after easter and before memorial day. Rock the House!

That is disgusting - so if it is just for backlog, why is it being used as a primary service centre for K-1s? Surely there should be two service centres, one for east, one for west *as well as* an overflow?!?!?!?! Insane
