K1 Visa Lagos Interviews 2023?

Hi guys, 3 weeks ago the Lagos Consulate emailed me our Packet letter stating they were ready to complete the final processing of our application, which means time to interview. They sent us our instructions on what to do next and how to schedule.

Yet when I go to the website to schedule, it always says: “Does your immigrant case number starts with LGS2019, LGS2020, or LGS2021?”

Of course, ours does not. It begins with LGS2023. So we select “No”. After that it stops us and says: You are not eligible to schedule an appointment for K visa at this time. Please wait until you receive a notice of eligibility.

I am currently in a Facebook Group where yesterday it was announced that K1 Visa interview dates had opened up. I went to the website, and still received the above warning.

Everyone else was able to schedule interviews— but not me. I also do not hear anyone else mentioning this warning. I called the Embassy, of course, and they have no comment on it. They simply tell me to send an email. When I do send an email, what seems like a robot responds with only instructions on HOW to schedule an appointment, but no comment on the warning.

#1: Has anyone else seen this when trying to schedule an appointment?

#2: Should I just wait? My worry is that the US Petition is only valid for 4 months. Likewise our Police Certificate is only valid for 3 months. If we don’t get an interview this year, would that mean that our Petition has expired and we must start the process again?

Thank you,

Krystale
