Hi all,

any idea where I have to get criminal records in Spain for NVC? I provided criminal record issued by Registro Central de Penados in Sevilla,on behalf of ministry of justice, but it was rejected, any help or tips will be appreciated 🙏

The document name should be Sentencia Judicial firme

issued by the court that passed the sentence, and should have the seal/format of  Judicial sentence

and must be certified and have a certified translation to english.

The information provided above is incorrect.

You will require a Certificado de Antecedentes Penales, which can either be obtained online using the Cl@ve or in-person (with an appointment, ID, and proof of payment form).

As long as you are applying at the U.S Embassy in Madrid, Spanish documents do not need to be translated into English, as Spanish is the language of application.

Police Background Checks expire after 1 Year, so you can get it well before your appointment to prepare.
