Hi there! I am a US citizen and my husband and I are applying for his greencard. We have everything together (form, shared assets, photos, etc.). The only thing I am unsure about is proof of my financial support. I know I have to submit a few years of tax returns. I filed an extension for my 2022 taxes, and have been slowly completing them.

My questions are: will our application get returned if I apply with enough years of tax returns, even if they aren't the most recent (e.g., 2019-2021 taxes with a letter stating that I filed an extension for 2022)? Or, is it best to only submit our application after I have filed my 2022 taxes?

Thank you!

No, you don’t need to wait.   By the time off of the interview, you’ll have that return and also one for 2023.
