To fellow I-130 filers, with case number IOE90XXX (so no 0 before 9), how is it going/has it been for you? I keep checking hilites.today and even if I know it is not truly a representation of most of the cases processed, the ones I see getting approved and RFE'd are Case Numbers IOE09XXX. I don't want to think the zero in the case number is a negligible character, so I wonder where the IOE90XX cases are.

Mine has been pending for 15 months. Last January, a very abruptly-cut chat with Emma said the case was in NBC and last week it's in California Service Center. That it has moved locations is probably a good sign, but the wait is still excruciating. Any feedback is appreciated.

What is your status for the I-485?

We did not file concurrently, my I-485 was filed one year later, but to answer that, the I-485 (along with EAD and AP) are also pending since December 2022. :(

I wonder if it is possible that the AOS is approved before an I-130? Or at best an EAD.

It is odd to see the I-130 is at the National Benefits Center.

I wonder if it's approved or about to be approved and waiting for AOS.

Hello, Steve. I just remembered to go back to this thread after my chat with an agent today. The agent told me that the case is in NBC, so the California Service Center location of the file (which was oddly confirmed to me by two agents we talked to on separate occasions) is either incorrect or outdated. I really hope your assumption is correct since my AOS (with EAD and AP) are all in NBC. Pending for 5 months though.

At this rate I am ready to accept that the AOS could take a longer time given the change in situation at the border (is it really true that processors are rerouted to process asylum cases in the meantime?) -- but I just desperately need an EAD.

I am both sad and insulted that people who filed in 2023 have been getting their green cards or at least an EAD. It's def not their fault, they filed like we did, but it's the system is just so frustrating. :(
