My fiancé is in the process of making an appointment for his K1 interview in Montreal. Apparently you can do this through their website or via phone. On the phone they are telling you, you have to do it through the website. There are no appointments available therefore he also cannot pay. He called the number again, just to find out what their wait times are and the person told him they are not currently giving out any appointments so there is nothing available for this year and not for 2024 either.

Has anyone recently booked their interview appointment in Montreal?

Please tell me this is all a sick joke and the person didn't know what they were talking about! 😔

I believe this person doesn't know what they were talking about. From what I've noticed in the past few months they open 4 to 5 days per month for K1 interviews and when those appointments are taken we have to wait for 3 weeks or so for them to open new dates (for another month). So when you check the calendar it looks like there's nothing available at all but it's just because they haven't opened the new dates yet.

In mid January people were able to book for early April after having received P4 rught before Christmas. In about 10 days all available dates (4 or 5) were gone. Then at the end of February they opened dates in early May, which were taken in about 2 weeks. Then in mid March (my case) they opened dates in early June and again they were soon all taken. I believe they should be opening dates for early July in the next couple of weeks. Keep checking the site every day and book (and pay) as soon as you see they have opened new dates.

Thank you!!! This gives us hope!

Have you done your medical yet? It said in the letter to wait until the interview appointment is booked. Just worried that there would be any issues with scheduling everything accordingly.

Yes, right after I booked my interview I scheduled my medical for about a month before the that (they suggested that date based on my interview, that you need to provide in order to book your medical). I'm in Toronto and I haven't seen anyone having issues finding a good date, but I've read people sometimes have issues with the one in Montreal (it's harder to find a date that's not too close to their interview and they end up going to the interview without their medical having been sent there yet, which delays their approval in about one to two weeks). Where are you in Canada?

I got my P4 yesterday and registered to find an interview date at Montreal Consulate but did not find any available date. Does that mean my possible schedule date is in Oct, or possible to be earlier?

I'm in the same boat. I guess we have to wait until appointments open and schedule as soon as we can.
