Hi everyone, I've read several guides but I just want to make sure I have this down 100%. I'm sending my packet in a few days and I just want to make sure this is the proper order.

First, the packet is mailed in one of those manila paper envelopes with "Original Submission, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751)." typed on it.

I also have to make sure it's being sent to the USCIS center that corresponds to my state.

Inside of the packet (in order)..

1) Two checks ($85 Biometrics and $595 I-751....both written to the department of homeland security)

2) Cover letter (which is basically a short explanation of what the application is for (petition to remove conditions on residence..etc..and what the contents of the packet are)

3) Form G-1145 (to receive digital notification of status of the packet)

4) Form I-751

5) Copy of front and back of green card (residence card)

6) Evidence of legitimate marriage (COPIES ONLY)

and.... that's it? If you'd like to add any tips or additional info please do so!

I have some random questions, as well.

-Besides the form I-751, is there any where else the petitioner and spouse should sign their names?

-The petitioner's name and A-number should be written at the top of every picture?

-we can use tabs at the bottom to separate sections

-should it be OK to use just a binder clip to hold the packet together? or is it recommended to do the 2 hole punch at the top with a fastener?

I'd appreciate any other important tips, thank you.

@aapl No reason to send two checks you can combine the amount. Unless you have a specific reason to send two checks one will do!

You did not list taxes, bank statements, utility bills, rental contracts or mortgage statement (unless that's in your proof of legitimate marriage you mentioned). I'd slow down and check your packet before sending it. If what you listed is all you really are going to send I think you'd be in trouble. USCIS does not recommend two hole punching it used to be the thing to do but they changed their language. I do not think they would kick back your package for doing it though. Make sure you send tax transcripts if you can get them or have them

@aapl also visit some of the other I-751 threads and look and see what everyone has done and use them as a guide for yourself. I filed my wife's in January 2022 there are excellent ideas given there if you care to look. Any I-751 thread will do though especially if there is a lot of content inside. Slow down and make sure you are in your window!
