When to do medical? (AOS)

From your experience, when is it best to get medical done? I am about to submit my AOS, work, and travel documents to my lawyer to review before they file, and was given the option to submit medical along with everything or wait until an interview is schedule.

I'll ask for my lawyer's opinion, but wanted to ask around here as well.

Is there any benefit to getting it done as soon as possible or is waiting fine?

depend of where u live.

do you have a lot of civic surgeon in ur town or not.

in NYC, many many civic surgeon thats on uscis website, walk in is easy

in maine, there's only few and the wait time for appointment is long.

if walk in is easy, not to submit i-693 on initial package is ok

in my case, i dont want to take a chance, im worried if i didnt send it together with the initial package, by the time i need to get the medical, it will take forever. so i send it together with the initial package.

the only reason people dont want to submit it in initial package is because they are worried, interview take longer, it will be expired and they have to pay again.

To me it made more sense to submit with the rest of the packet.

I helped a friend and we submitted medical together with her aos, and she was approved without interview.

Hello

I prepared  paperwork for Aos for a friend on june, with a i-601 for vaccination waiver, she opposites to all vaccines. We sent i-130 online.

uscis got the package on june 21 , they accepted i-485 , i-765 and i-131, but rejected i-601 because missing the barcode.

we resubmit i-601 and was received on july 11.

on july 1 she got a letter for fingerprints, fingerprints were taken on july 19.

my friend got a RFE on july 12, asking submit a new i-485 with barcode and i-864 with barcode, we submitted online on july 15.

On august 26 checking her case , i see her i-130 approved , then in the afternoon her i-485 was approved too. I checked her i-601 and show approved too.
her AOS was approved without interview.

we were happy and surprised too.

we were waiting interview and a long waiting because the vaccination waiver

her case was approved in just tow months and no interview, she adjustment from b2 visa.

good luck everybody here.

now my friend is waiting her green card
