Mailing address and physical address

Greetings forum members, 

 

I am filling out all of the 485, 130, 131, 765 forms etc.  And they often ask for an address- usually a physical address and sometimes a mailing address.  

 

What does physical address mean in this context?  How is this distinguished from the mailing address?  Does the physical address mean an address where the AOS applicant is really living?
