Hi. Do I understand correctly that a green card holder has to wait 5 years,  or 3 years if marriage to a us citizen?

Also, as I am now in the i751 rfe state, and hoping i will get approved , does the green card date mean the date when my first conditional green card was issued, or, in the event I get my conditions removed, will it be this new approval date? (I.e. when would my 3 year time frame start?)

Thanks.

If you have been married and living with your US spouse for the last 3 years, you can file 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of the date you first got the conditional green card.

By filing the N-400, you could end having your citizenship interview and ROC together.

Thank you for this rapid,  informative and helpful response! Much appreciated.
