National Benefits Center DELAYS

I am completely disappointed about the lack of responsiveness and extremely long processing times of my I-751 that was filed in January 2020. My assigned case starts with an MSC, meaning it is sitting at the Missouri Service Center (aka National Benefits Center) for over 25 months sitting on a shelf collecting dust in a state that is different than the one that i live in! My case was supposed to be transferred to my home state in Wisconsin a LONG TIME AGO.

Why do other service centers process cases three times faster that NBC? I wrote complaint letters to Biden, Kamala, White House, my local Senator and nobody seems to care about this.

What is wrong with the National Benefits Center? Do workers at NBC actually work?

I have opened inquiries on the USCIS website multiple times and no one seems to get back to me! I check my email every day and nothing!

NBC is horrible! People if you were assigned an MSC case: FILE FOR CITIZENSHIP RIGHT AWAY! Don't wait like I did in hopes that they will probably process yours faster... They DON'T! They are lazy

Your local office is where delays usually occur for I-751s.  What is the status at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do ?

It does seem a bit ridiculous when the USCIS processing time for an I-751 is estimated to take up to 36.5 months, per the USCIS website.  You are still within this time frame so you can't even send an "outside normal processing time" inquiry for another year.  Backlogs vary by regional USCIS office, so if your case status is "ready to be scheduled for an interview," it has most likely been processed by MSC and is waiting for an interview slot to open up in Milwaukee.  Supposedly they are understaffed, much like the IRS...  Definitely file an N-400 when you are eligible, as for some reason they are processed faster, for example, Milwaukee is showing up to 16.5 months.  Filing an N-400 while waiting on the I-751 has helped move things along for some filers at MSC.  Many have had to get an infopass appointment for a passport stamp after the 24-month extension letter expires, if you need to travel outside the US, renew a driver's license, or get a new job.  The frustration with the long wait is understandable.  If it helps, many are in the same boat, at the mercy of government inefficiency at its finest.  Good luck!
