Hi. Please help with advice. Our case is ready 01/21/22. We wrote a letter to the embassy asking how our affairs are, what we should do, etc. P.s ds-160 form filled out and sent. Payment has not yet been made, online is not possible. Only through their bank. We got this answer : ‘We would like to inform you that as your are applying for immigrant visa, your first interview must be scheduled by NVC, that's why we can`t provide you any specific timelines for scheduling process’
How can this be?

Georgia. We also wrote to embassy, but they sent us a letter saying that we should be scheduled for an interview  NVC.

But as far as I know, the interview is appointed by the embassy, and not by the NVC. We don’t even know why they answered like that
