SLEC immunizations

Are the immunizations at St Luke's a requirement? My fiancée and her two kids finished first day and were asked to return tomorrow for the results and immunizations.

However, one of her kids had developed a fever. Probably due to his nervousness with traveling to Manila for the first time and by plane. We are concerned he will not be admitted into SLEC tomorrow if he is not feeling well.

We already have interview scheduled for next week and do not want to have to cancel anything as it's a huge inconvenience with them being from Mindanao. Are they able to get immunizations on different day when he is feeling better or can we forego them entirely until they get here to the US?

If they do not return to SLEC for the medical results, they will not be allowed to interview (SLEC will not forward the results to USEM).  Since they need to return to SLEC anyway, might as well complete the immunizations there.

[EDIT]  Technically, non-immigrant visa applicants are not required to complete immunization at the visa medical.  But they must declare that they are refusing to get the vaccines at the medical.  So your fiancee will need to return to SLEC anyway.  Otherwise, SLEC will keep their medical on hold, which means they will not be allowed to proceed with their visa interview.

Does my fiancée's kids need to return to SLEC with her to get results? Why can't she go alone or leave the sick one at the hotel?

Your fiancee may return to SLEC without her sick child, so she can proceed with her K1 interview at least.  She may ask the SLEC staff if they will still forward her sick child's medical results to USEM.

I guess I don't understand. She's the adult and they are minors. Can she not collect the results for all without the kids or one of them being present? Why do the kids need to make the trip back to slec just to pick up a packet?

No one but SLEC can tell her for sure what they will do about the kids' medical results.  All your fiancee can do is to go back to SLEC as instructed and ask.

I'd be tempted to give the kid a Tylenol to lower the fever and take my chances.  I'm assuming they have the negative rona-test already.  Kids always have to come back to Saint Luke's the second day since they get IGRA blood test for TB rather than an X-Ray like adults.  IGRA blood test takes overnight to get the results.  Getting sent for vaccinations is the sign that they passed and everything is good.  I can't see how missing the second day would not cause a major delay.

Well fiancée gave k2 paracetamol every four hours or so until they went back to SLEC. Temperature was taken at the door and they were allowed in.  However, temperature taken again at 2nd floor and read 37.6C or roughly 99.5F.  They were not admitted and have to come back.
