I just looked at the website http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp and it told me my Medical Date is February 26 and Interview is March 4. Could this be? It seems so early...and the embassy hasn't even received the petition yet.

Sorry I didn't get back to everyone before bed time on the other side of the world. I got busy with my daughters tonight - homework, homework and more homework. Boy, I think they kill kids with homework these days. I don't remember having that much homework in 1st and 3rd grades! Whew.

Anyhoo, the guy at USCIS was not helpful at all but just told me that I should hear something in a couple of weeks. I said to him that's what they told me two weeks ago. He said "ma'am petitions take time." I also said that there were July filers with RFE's that were getting approvals and he said "ma'am every application is different." That was about it. So, when I got the touch for the 15th, I knew that it was from the call. And then, this afternoon, I checked again and there is another touch. I hope that you all are right and that my approval is right around the corner. I am praying and trying not to think about another RFE.

Tomorrow is another day - we'll see what it brings...

Debz - how is Nick? I hope that he's feeling much better. And just a tidbit of advice on the cough. The best thing for a cough is ice chips. Doesn't sound like it would do much but believe me, sucking on ice chips works wonders for the cough.

Nick has been really ill for the last few days with flu like stuff...just had email from his mammy, he's developed pnuemonia and is really sick. All I want is to be there with him and for him but I can't be and it's killing me.

It's been kinda cold in Nebraska the last few days, and getting colder and snowy. I sure hope Nick gets to feeling better soon.

I am going bananas people! I am in Italy and am flying back to stinky LA next Tuesday ALONE. No word from Naples about our packet We'll be calling again today and at least we are getting a headstart with the forms that I've downloaded.

Haha - It's the one downside to where I am going to live - the lovely wind off the ocean blows the glorious LA smog over - sometimes you can't even see the mountains - booo!!!!!

Barely have time for video games myself although I have a lot of them - My DS is cool though cause I can pick it up and play for a little whereever - when I am having a real session I need to settle in for a whole day

OK, I don't know WHY this should be the last straw, but this morning, it just is... got the complete run-around from the police last night; no, they don't do fingerprints, I have to go somewhere in Stoke Newington for that; they give me a number... it's the wrong number... the wrong number people give me the right number... there's only a message

I try calling again this morning - it's engaged for more than an hour and a half - when I finally get through, they say yes, I have to come in to NEW SCOTLAND YARD to get a fingerprint check, and the earliest appointment they have is Saturday January 26, would I like it? oh, and it will be £60 please; they only take cash

I am SICK OF THIS

I am SICK of being treated like some second-class citizen; I have never committed a crime; I have always paid my taxes; I have never been on the dole, in fact I have never been anything but a benefit to society (I was first a teacher and now I work for a charity, doing global development education and therefore am not exactly flush with cash either)... and of course when I walk out the door on the 26th, my pathetic page of fingerprints clutched in my hand, then I have to send off to Aus for the actual check (as I mentioned yesterday, I've already GOT a farking police check from Aus, but without fingerprints - I emailed the Australian Federal Police and asked what I needed to do, and they sent me the form but never mentioned prints)... so that's weeks wasted, AND the fee I've already paid (it wasn't much, but hell, who wants to waste ANY money at this stage in the game?) and another - higher - fee to pay

Aww hun - sounds like you'ev been given the right runaround... I know what you mean - sometimes I get like this - I'm not even always really p*ssed off - I am just in dire need of a rant at the stupidity and bureaucracy of things!!! Maybe you should consider getting your OH into the UK... it's not too late you know and would mean you avoid paying the AOS fees at least

he'd love to live here... he just doesn't want to leave the States before his son (who's currently 16 and a half) finishes high school, and I'm really behind that; I'd think less of him if he was happy to just walk away

though even he was saying last night: what if his son decides to join the military, or goes away for uni, or whatever, and in a year and a half he's gone? makes this a LOT of hassle for very little payoff... though I don't think there's an alternative

Well it sucks but at least it is for the right reasons. Besides - you might find that you like it there and it is a nice experience for a bit - you always have the option to move back - that is what we are looking at potentially but we are just keeping our options open Makes for an exciting life Besides - if you stay long enough you can at least have an easier route into the country if you decide to move again or something

Keep the faith - you *will* get there and just think how happy you will be then!! It is hard now but as soon as you get your NOA2 things just move a lot quicker... ok - the move from CSC to NVC takes a while but even a month is nothing compared to the 5-6 month wait for NOA2

Hey July Filer Friends, havent posted in a while as I have 'gone dark' in between the medical and interview - I think just nerves and busy and more nerves! but now I can report that Matthew had his interview in London at 9AM this morning, he was our by 10:10AM with a very happy APPROVAL!!!!! :dance: We are so excited and in mad wedding planning mode! He arrives here on Jan 29th to stay for good.....somebody pinch me! the wedding is Feb 16th and then we are honeymooning for 4 days in Las Vegas (where we met a year ago while waiting for a taxi outside the same hotel!) We thought it would be fun to return to the seen of the crime!!! we plan on doing something more later like hawaii or florida keys, but there is so much going on right now!

I just wanted to say to everyone that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! chins up, head high, faith in tact! its worth waiting for and it WILL happen. :thumbs:

Debz - STOP STRESSING. it was cake and matthew said they barely glanced at the affadavit of support. you will be fine hon.

Jeraly - I just realized your wedding is on a monday??!! any significance to that?? did I miss that somewhere

STP - my heart broke reading your story, hang in there. take it one step at a time and check it off your list. the hurdles suck, but at least when there done they are done and you can move forward again (however slowly it may feel)
